Instantly collect geo-tagged path video and audio from mobile platforms, such as aircraft, vehicles, ATVs, trains and vessels. The use of geospatial multimedia provides a powerful decision support tool by allowing you to see “What is where, when.” Everything has a place, if you can see it, you can map it. The potential applications of spatial multimedia are virtually unlimited.
With a compatible hard drive or memory card based camcorder and the VMS 300, the resulting video is geospatially encoded and can be placed on a map. This geospatial multimedia can then be reviewed, analyzed, and acted upon using Red Hen’s proprietary software GeoVideo for ArcGIS, MediaMapper 5.3 or MediaMapper Server. The user can click on a map to start video playback at that location, view an image, open a file, or listen to sounds recorded there. Multiple map layers can be overlaid on the map, allowing a comprehensive visual analysis of the location where video was recorded.
